The Arizona Stars Organization
The Arizona Stars falls under the Arizona Youth Development (AYD) umbrella. As part of the AYD, The Arizona Stars focuses on youth basketball. Since the start up of The Arizona Stars in 1990 by Art Dye, this association has experienced a wealth of successes, from championships, to highly successful community programs, to a multitude of academic and personal successes by many of our youth. - Won 13 National Titles
- Won 137 State Titles
- 212 Division I College Scholarships handed out to our players
- Placed 4 players on teams in the NBA
- Created 'model' programs to help youth academically as well as programs to enhance physical speed, agility and strength training
- Successfully instituted the leading edge 'Kids that Care' Community Service Project in several schools in the Phoenix Metro area and the Gila River Community
- Expansion of 'Kids that Care' program to 20 additional schools
- Provided mentors and on-going coaching and support for students throughout their college career
- Continued its circle of influence through active participation of past and present players as coaches and mentors.
Our program consists of players ranging in ages of 15 through 17 years old, both boys and girls. We structure and compete
with our teams in nationally recognized tournaments and venues throughout the US, including AAU, BCI and top Nike events.
The Arizona Stars is the Nike approved program for Arizona, and is regarded as their premier program in the nation.

The Arizona Youth Development (AYD) is all about helping the kids of our community. The Arizona Stars is an outreach of this program which concentrates on youth basketball as an outlet and support function to enable and empower our youth to reach a high level of achievement, both in academics and in sports. This web site gives you information on our program. From current players and teams, to past players in our program. As this site grows, we will also use this forum to help provide information on all our top players to all the coaches and programs throughout the country.
